Dr Sammut is devoted to the pursuit of better health and well being for all patients and amongst his special interests includes: asthma, diabetes, hypertension, kidney disease, chronic disease management, depression, musculoskeletal treatment and preventative medicine. Dr Sammut speaks English, Maltese and Italian and enjoys walking, singing and spending time with his family and friends.
Dr Jae Mie Teh
MBBS, DCH, FRACGP
Dr Jae Mie is a female doctor at Active Medical Centre who has worked in the medical field for over 5 years. Dr Jae Mie believes in building strong relationships with her patients to provide them with long term continuity and a model of care that focuses on preventative health. With a special interest in Dermatology and an emphasis on Dermoscopy, Skin Checks, Mole Removal and Skin Cancer Medicine – Dr Jae Mie provides complete skin health checks and minor skin excisions. Dr Jae Mie has a natural ability and passion for Paediatric Care and has completed a Diploma in Child Health to further enhance her skills in caring for the health and wellbeing of children. In addition to this, Dr Jae Mie has experience in family planning, reproductive and sexual health, Pap smears and implanon insertion and removal. Dr Jae Mie speaks English and Malay and enjoys playing the piano, painting and bushwalking.
Dr Zahra Shahzad
Dr Zahra is an International Medical Graduate working towards her fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practice under the supervision of Active Medical Principal GP Dr Victor Sammut. Dr Zahra has a special interest in women’s health, mental health, chronic disease management, travel medicine, children’s health and immunisations. Dr Zahra is a devoted wife and mother with a young daughter who she adores. Outside of work, Dr Zahra enjoys spending time with friends and engaging in fun activities with her young family. Dr Zahra speaks English, Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi.
Dr Irene Tan
Dr Irene Tan is a GP with a diploma in community service, a certificate in counselling and an accredited shared maternity care provider. Dr Tan’s special interests include: women’s health, pregnancy management and shared care, children’s health, mental health and chronic disease management. Dr Tan speaks English, Mandarin and the dialect of Hokkien and includes aerobics, volleyball, swimming, travelling, playing piano and volunteering amongst her hobbies.
Dr Kim Tran
Dr Kim Tran is a male GP at Active Medical Centre, Caroline Springs who has been involved in the healthcare of the Western Suburbs for the past 7 years. Dr Kim is here to listen and adopts a holistic approach to patient care. He offers a patient centred model of care in a respectful way to families in the local community. Dr Kim is a current examiner for the Royal College of General Practitioners. Special interests include general family health and chronic disease management of conditions such as asthma, emphysema, heart disease, diabetes and thyroid disease. Dr Ummu Rishada Rauf

Dr Rishada is a female doctor at Active Medical Centre Caroline Springs who has over 10 years experience in general practice. With a Diploma in Child Health as well as Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Dr Rishada has a keen interest in paediatric care and women’s health. Being a mother herself, Dr Rishada has a great understanding on how best to support parents and children to achieve positive outcomes for the entire family. Other special interests include mental health and post natal depression, obstetrics, gynaecology, emergency medicine, minor surgical procedures and immunisations, chronic disease, skin care, travel medicine, and aged care. Dr Rishada can also provide patients with implanon and Mirena insertion and removal. With a zest for knowledge and a preventative approach to healthcare – Dr Rishada is a local GP here to support the Caroline Springs and surrounding community. Dr Azin Malekzadeh
Dr Azin is an International Medical Graduate working towards her fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practice under the supervision of Active Medical Principal GP Dr Victor Sammut. Dr Azin has a special interest in women’s health, children’s health, immunisations, mental health, chronic disease management and travel medicine. Being a mother herself, Dr Azin has a keen interest in supporting parents and children and giving families the best chance at being healthy. Dr Azin enjoys walking, listening to music, travelling, spending time with family and friends and offers bilingual consultations to patients in both English and Persian.
Dr Sirisha Moparthi
MBBS, DGO, MRCGP (UK), DRCOG (UK), FRACGP
Dr Sirisha has worked in the field of General Practice in the UK for over 8 years. Dr Sirisha offers holistic patient centred care to achieve positive outcomes for her patients. With a special interest in Women’s Health, Dr Sirisha has been awarded a Diploma from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, along with a Diploma from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health in London. Dr Sirisha has experience in Family Planning, Pregnancy Management, Women and Children’s Health, Mental Health, Chronic Disease and Diabetes Management. Dr Sirisha speaks English, Hindi, Telugu, Urdu and is a busy mum who enjoys spending her free time with family and friends.

Nalani is a qualified Accredited Practising Dietitian; Accredited Nutritionist and member of the Dietitians Association of Australia. As well as having an accredited ‘Masters of Dietetics’ qualifications through the University of Queensland, Nalani’s credentials also include a Bachelor of Science from La Trobe University and a Graduate Diploma in Nutrition from Deakin University.
Nalani is experienced in a range of clinical conditions and has a particular interest in chronic disease management via the patient centered team care approach. Nalani has a special interest in chronic disease management, cardiovascular disease, dyslipidaemia, diabetes, CKD and weight management through diet and lifestyle modification.
Marianne Del Papa
Marianne is a credentialed diabetes educator and is a member of the Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA). Prior to becoming registered as a diabetes educator, Marianne had 15 years experience as a registered Division One nurse in hospital and private practice.
Marianne has years experience as a diabetes nurse educator and chronic disease nurse in private practice. She provides her patients with holistic and evidence based diabetes advice to address complex diabetes management needs. She aims to provide patients with tailored diabetes care to meet their individual and unique health needs.
Wiliya is a registered Podiatrist and a member of the Australian Podiatry Association (Vic).
Wiliya completed studies in a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at RMIT University and led onto pursue studies in the Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Podiatric Practice at La Trobe University. She completed podiatry experience at community health in London, UK, as well as public hospitals here in Melbourne.
Wiliya’s interests lie in all facets of podiatry and she aims to provide comprehensive and holistic podiatric care. Managing pain and injuries related to the foot and the lower limb as well as systemic conditions affecting the feet such as diabetes and arthritis. Wiliya uses a wide variety of therapies to alleviate such pain and discomfort. Some foot conditions people may require management for include; corns, calluses, warts, problematic nails, sports injuries and strains as well as for orthoses and arch supports. She provides care and attends to all age groups.
Wiliya thoroughly enjoys participating in many sports including Soccer, Taekwondo, and practising Yoga.
Andy Hales is an accredited exercise physiologist registered with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA). Andy specialises in the delivery of exercise for the prevention and management of chronic diseases and injuries. He has worked with patients that include neurological conditions, cardiovascular, metabolic, and musculoskeletal injuries including elite sports people (previously with Western Bulldogs Football Club AFL) & return to work treatment. Andy designs and implements specialised programs for older adults with joint replacement, osteoarthritis & bone degeneration, individuals with hypertension and obesity and assists in achieving return to activities of daily living and improved quality of life with self-management strategies. Andy’s special interests include back and hip rehabilitation, metabolic disorders; including pre-diabetes/type 2 diabetes, return to work exercise rehabilitation, exercise for the elderly, weight management, group exercise, sports injury prevention; strength & conditioning. For your convenience, Andy offers bilingual consultations to his patients in English and Maltese.
Dr Kaylene Evers
Dr Kaylene Evers is a nationally recognised Psychologist and Member of the Australian Psychological Society. Dr Evers has decades of experience working with individuals, children, adults and couples. She has a special interest in trauma especially sexual assault and homicide but is equally experienced in working closely with a team of providers in cases of Workcover, TAC, Victims of Crime & DVA.
Dr Evers delivers evidence-based treatment to address issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, PTSD, grief and loss, personality disorders, adjustment disorders and pain management.
Her assessments and reports are regularly sought within all levels of courts in a variety of matters.
She is also an accredited mediator and Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, and Justice of the Peace.
Dr Cassandra Dean
Dr Cassandra Dean is a registered Clinical Psychologist and member of the Australian Psychological Society and The College of Clinical Psychologists. Cassandra has a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, specialising in adolescents.
Cassandra has extensive experience in providing mental health services to young people, adults and their families. She has a particular interest in integrated treatment for depression and anxiety.
Cassandra adopts a client-centred approach using evidence-based practice. Cassandra uses a range of psychological therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Cassandra helps clients to identify the changes that they wish to make, and works with her clients to understand and make sense of their presenting concerns.
